The first three days were very foggy. The going was slow and you had to rely on your screen of instruments showing the chart, radar & GPS. It was a bit like flying on instruments.

Day 1 August 24, 2017 - set up blogger site & link to Facebook.
Ok. This is a test. I've been mostly posting on Facebook, but this blog is supposed to "re-post", so I'm going to see if it works. Then we might populate both sites with some pics. We rented a van with 4 other cruisers and went on a sightseeing & snorkeling tour of Grand Cayman. This was a dinner stop at a hotel on the Seven Mile beach. A lot of the fun of cruising is spending time with interesting people from other parts of the globe.
Checking in from the East Coast. We managed to avoid Hurricane Maria & Tropical Storm Nate, as big blows at anchor. We've been out of touch, but will try to post more often. We have traveled about 700 miles south, through 8 states - continuing south to warmer water.
